Here's what: July 11

It's been a long week. Week's after a long weekend usually are. I've got a beach weekend coming up so I've been trying to get ready for that. And I've been stalking a bag I want online. So...here's what three things I'm obsessed with this week.

I have been stalking this bag online for months - the MICHAEL Michael Kors Striped Medium Travel Tote. And it's finally gone on sale. So, of course, the navy white and has sold out everywhere I look. And where I can find it, it's still full price - $328. Ugh.

So I may have gone a little off the deep end earlier this week in regards to my diet. I've got this beach weekend coming up at home and after eating everything in site last weekend, I needed a fresh start. So for a few days, I loosely followed the first few days of this cleanse. Breakfast and lunch on Monday was watermelon, honeydew and grapes. Tuesday's breakfast was honeydew and lunch was spinach, mushrooms and two hard boiled eggs. Dinner both nights was a pork chop and fresh spinach. Then Weds was watermelon for breakfast and I had a work lunch so I got grilled salmon with mixed veggies. Overall, it's actually worked out fairly well. I'm down to where I was before my cousin came out. I'm just a little hungry. Oh and someone brought in donuts this morning and I couldn't say no so there's that.

I l-o-v-e this black jumpsuit. Even though I'm not a jumpsuit kind-of-girl. But, but, but...it's expensive. Of course. I mean really. $315.

Here's what: August 15

Here's what three things I'm obsessed with this week... If you haven't seen this photo of Usain Bolt winning the men's 100m at the IAAF World Championships, you might be living under a rock. There are five sessions, and some pretty good events, left to go at Worlds. And Team USA is currently sitting atop the medal table with a total of 10 medals - 4 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze. So...I joined a local running club. And I signed up for the marathon training program! Not that I'm signed up for an actual marathon or anything. This particular training group is training for my race, so I can't exactly run that. There are weekly track sessions and long runs are on Saturdays. The program lasts for 22 weeks. Well but we've already missed two weeks bc of other commitments. E and I will be doing this together. We'll see how this goes.  Towards the end of September is something called Social Media Week. It is a leading media platform and worldwide event ...

Weekend

I love weekends. I wish they were longer...doesn't everybody? It was quite the lazy weekend too, being that it was so hot out. I ran Sunday...kind of. It was so hot, I hadn't had enough water, or food for that matter, so I cut my run short. And then we opted to eat out instead of cooking. I really need to cook this week. And maybe not drink. Except I have half a bottle of red left over from last night's Bachelorette finale fiesta with E.  Monday. Oh Monday. Cancelled my run once again when the car told me it was 102 outside. Can't wait to be able to run in the mornings. Last night was the Bachelorette season finale so E came over for dinner and some wine. I now love sweet potatoes and I may have had a little too much to drink. And then decided it was a good time to update my iOS on my iphone. I'm still trying to get my phone back to where it should be. It made me do a complete restore, then I couldn't restore from a current backup and when I was f...

New Goals - Lean

So I finally went back for my follow up body fat test last Tuesday. I didn't really know what to expect. I knew I had lost some weight and I could see more muscle definition, but I wasn't sure. I told myself I would be happy with anything under 30% since I was 33.8 the last time I went. So of course in the lead up to the test I had like 5 cheat meals. Insert eye roll here. Saturday was margaritas and Mexican for dinner. Sunday was brunch and champagne and pizza. And then Monday was more Mexican bc of Sunday. Whoops. Clearly I had to run Tuesday morning before the test. hahahaha Then at lunch time I headed over to visit Heather. The got a new machine that's so supposed to be even more accurate than the BodPod and you don't even have to strip down lol. So my new results were: Weight - 147.6 Body Fat - 27.8 So I lost 6.3 pounds and 6% body fat. Total time elapsed between tests was 16 weeks. This places me in the moderately lean category for women. Moving fo...
