It's no secret that I want to travel. For work, for fun, any reason to go somewhere new. And it's been a hot minute since I've been anywhere. And now E is telling me she wants to take a trip. To Europe.
Now, obviously, I am interested. But maybe we should start smaller. I still haven't been to New Orleans. Or San Antonio. So maybe I will start off with a road trip. And try to convince her to go with me.
If I am going to take a road trip, there are some tips to keep in mind.

If I am going to take a road trip, there are some tips to keep in mind.
- Start early or leave late - Besides avoiding major traffic, it can also be kind of exciting to get on the road before the sun rises or after it sets.
- Fill her up - Make sure the gas tank is full before you set out on the trip.
- Pack snacks - Fill a cooler with veggie sticks, hard-boiled eggs, peanut butter, crackers, and other healthy snacks. Packing snacks is the best way to maintain your bikini body when there’s nothing but fast food for miles.
- Plan for spontaneous stops - Be sure to allow enough time for stopping at that cute little roadside diner or kitschy tourist attraction. Take the scenic route and embrace unexpected detours. Road trips are as much about the excursion as they are about the destination.
- Don't forget your SPF and sunnies - If you are road tripping in the sunny months, keep in mind that it is possible to get sunburnt through the car windows.
