I love our spring schedule at work - the office is split into two groups and we rotate Fridays off for several months. And tomorrow is my Friday off.
It looks like the rain may finally take a break tomorrow, so I plan on running, going to yoga and hanging out by the pool if I can. At least until I need to go to the store to get everything for Friday night.
I really need to step up my running and to do that, I think I actually need to schedule in some off days. Last week, my Friday, Saturday and Sunday runs all felt terrible. Monday and Tuesday were good and then yesterday felt sluggish and hard again. I don't think I am one of those people who can run seven days a week with no rest. Not after being a runner for over 20 years. I need rest. Even if it's only one day off a week.
I also need to get back into yoga. I think that's part of the problem too. It's been over a week since my last class. And my hips are ridiculously tight. I'm going to try and start going in the morning again next week. Even though I will never be a morning person.
And we lifted yesterday for the first time in months. I am so sore. I really need to be in the gym at least two days a week as well. This whole being healthy thing sure does take up a lot of time. It's a good thing I almost never have plans. <-- It's not funny bc it's true.
So maybe today is my day off. I didn't go to yoga this morning. And the 5pm class after work is not a good one. We'll see how I feel about running later.
