What's been going on lately

It's getting to be that time of year where I'm too busy to do much after work, like run. And let's not forget that cold front that moved in for a week. At least that ended a few days ago. But it brought with it my winter blues...just a little early this year. 

As soon as it gets cold my skin dries out and so does my hair and I just feel blah. It gets dark so early that it's difficult to fit a run in and I feel so out of shape. 

I need to not let this happen this year. yes I'm busy at work, but so is everyone else. If I can run at lunch, that would eliminate one problem. I also need to start bringing my lunch to work again. I've been making some not so great take out choices lately.
What else. I tried to schedule a haircut but with the holidays approaching I couldn't get an appointment until Dec 29th! #fail 

But but's what else I've been up to. Last weekend I had drinks with a girlfriend from Indy...she's living down the road in Sugar Land right now! Craziness. It was good to catch up, we hadn't seen each other in 5 years. Then I went to the Nutcracker Market with much good people watching. Lots of salmon was eaten, with a chicken thrown in, also lots of red wine. A few treadmill runs and two outside when it warmed back up. These are the things that keep me sane this time of year - running, hanging out with friends, cooking and having a glass of wine.

I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving. I'll try to keep up with my writing...esp since its usually a good stress relief for me :)

New Goals - Lean

So I finally went back for my follow up body fat test last Tuesday. I didn't really know what to expect. I knew I had lost some weight and I could see more muscle definition, but I wasn't sure. I told myself I would be happy with anything under 30% since I was 33.8 the last time I went.

So of course in the lead up to the test I had like 5 cheat meals. Insert eye roll here. Saturday was margaritas and Mexican for dinner. Sunday was brunch and champagne and pizza. And then Monday was more Mexican bc of Sunday. Whoops.

Clearly I had to run Tuesday morning before the test. hahahaha

Then at lunch time I headed over to visit Heather. The got a new machine that's so supposed to be even more accurate than the BodPod and you don't even have to strip down lol.

So my new results were:
Weight - 147.6
Body Fat - 27.8

So I lost 6.3 pounds and 6% body fat. Total time elapsed between tests was 16 weeks.

This places me in the moderately lean category for women.

Friday is not feeling like fun day

I know it's been a while since I've posted. At some point I will do a move recap and update you all in my new place.

But right now. I'm just not feeling it. The past few weeks have been rough for one reason or another. Among some other things my running has been suffering. There have been entire days where I'm just not hungry. I toss and turn every night bc I just can't fall asleep. I'm laying here now at 2am and I'm wide awake. 

At this point in time I feel like there's really nothing I can do to change this situation. Just get through it. I'm keeping busy. I go out sometimes. Play with my friends new puppy. And try to let it go.

Hello Weekend

Finally. Just one more day of work. And then it's the weekend. No sleeping in for me though. Early morning group run and volunteer lunch tomorrow and then course tour on Sunday.
