My goal was to write a recap of the Houston Marathon race week and everything that involved but I honestly can't remember half of it.
It was a whirlwind of meetings and writing and running around.
Race day was unlike any other I have experienced in Houston so far. COLD, rainy, not really weather you want to be outside in. I think I was out there for five hours, but that too is a blur. I was at the start line until about 6:30am, then the finish line until about 9:45am. Unable to feel my toes, which resembled icicles, I went inside to host our winners press conference.
It was quite a long day. I think I worked til about 8pm before falling asleep on my couch.
The past two weeks have been spent recapping that one day. What went wrong, what went right, what we should change or keep for next year.
And I am smack in the middle of what they call post-race depression.
