I have been a pretty bad blogger this year. Thirty-one posts and we are nearing the end of November.
Sometimes my heart just wasn't in it, sometimes I was just busy and sometimes I didn't have anything to say. But I don't want to give up on my little blog just yet. I know there are at least a few people out there who like to read what I write, so I'll try and keep at it.
57 days from race day and things are getting pretty busy over here. But this year I'm trying to keep up with running, yoga and cooking while still getting all my work done. And. Now I have Lola to play with. I had all the intentions of working last night once I realized I didn't have any plans. But after dinner when I was on the couch, she crawled onto my lap and I couldn't/wouldn't make her move. We just hung out for a few hours catching up on my dvr.
Scrolling through my pics from the last few weeks, how could I forget to post about the day that turned into a Friends episode...I bought a new couch. A super great deal. I found it on a closed facebook group that sells all kinds of random things. It's a Restoration Hardware chesterfield-style couch and I got it for less than 10% of full retail. Go me. But. For my first piece of real furniture, it's super heavy. And it totally felt like that episode of Friends where they get stuck in a stairwell with Ross' couch and he's yelling PIVOT at everyone. It took four of use to get this sucker into my place. And I will definitely be using professional movers when I leave.
And then last weekend, I woke up early to go for a run before yoga and when I stepped out of bed the pain in my heel was so strong that my knees buckled. Never felt anything like it before. I tried to walk it off when I took Lola for a walk, but no luck. So I didn't run, but I did go to yoga twice that day. Went for a four miler on Sunday and it hurt for the first 2.5 miles. Took Monday and Tuesday off and then ran 3 on Wednesday before yoga and it felt good. Ran four last night and I could barely feel it. Which is good bc I'm entered in a 10 mile race this weekend. Not that I'm racing. Just using it as an assisted long run. But still. All those people.
Anywho. That's all I've got for now. But I will try to keep up with the writing more regularly.
