Random ramblings

I know, I know. I keep disappearing. I want to write, but the things I want to write about, nobody needs to read.

There's not too much going on right now. I'm in and out of work with days I need to use or lose. And I'm looking forward to spending some time in Austin at the end of the month. I've only been there twice, and each time was for a race so I didn't really get out and see or do anything.

I've started running again, trying to go a few times a week. And I'm still keeping up with the hot yoga. Funny story. Last night I went to what I thought was my normal hot 60 class. Turns out it was hot core explosion. What's that you ask? Hot Core Explosion combines the elements of yoga and interval training, cardio and muscle toning in a heated room (95F with 40% humidity). Just a tad bit harder than the relaxing 60 minutes of sweat-inducing yoga I was looking forward to. And a day after my second day in the weight room this week. My legs were jello when I was done.

New Goals - Lean

So I finally went back for my follow up body fat test last Tuesday. I didn't really know what to expect. I knew I had lost some weight and I could see more muscle definition, but I wasn't sure. I told myself I would be happy with anything under 30% since I was 33.8 the last time I went.

So of course in the lead up to the test I had like 5 cheat meals. Insert eye roll here. Saturday was margaritas and Mexican for dinner. Sunday was brunch and champagne and pizza. And then Monday was more Mexican bc of Sunday. Whoops.

Clearly I had to run Tuesday morning before the test. hahahaha

Then at lunch time I headed over to visit Heather. The got a new machine that's so supposed to be even more accurate than the BodPod and you don't even have to strip down lol.

So my new results were:
Weight - 147.6
Body Fat - 27.8

So I lost 6.3 pounds and 6% body fat. Total time elapsed between tests was 16 weeks.

This places me in the moderately lean category for women.

Moving forward, I think …

Hello Weekend

Finally. Just one more day of work. And then it's the weekend. No sleeping in for me though. Early morning group run and volunteer lunch tomorrow and then course tour on Sunday.
