I feel like I haven't been around much lately, and clearly from the lack of posts my blog agrees with me. I haven't been crazy busy...but I have been busy actually having a life. Weird, right?
So what have I been doing lately?
- Well, last Friday was one of my Friday's off and I spent over three hours by the pool. I love me some sun.
- Saturday was E's birthday. I picked her up early and we got blow outs, not at Drybar though, they were booked. Some other place called Blow Dry Bar. They did a good job, but the atmosphere is so much better at the other place. A quick trip to Nordstroms later and it was time to get ready for her bday dinner where my margarita was the size of my head. Several bars and several shots later...I'd say it was a good night. I'm not going to say there wasn't any drama...bc with 16 people it's practically inevitable, but. It's over now.
- I love lazy Sunday mornings. Especially when they include brunch. And mimosas. And more time at the pool. And more mexican food and margaritas. And champagne. It was a lazy and fun but very long day.
- Cinco de Mayo. I didn't actually plan to celebrate, it's like St Patty's Day in NYC here, but someone still wound up at a mexican restaurant after a trip to Ikea with S.
- Whoa. E, K and I all signed up for this six week Row Challenge through Row Studios here in Houston. It just started and they suggest you take at least three classes a week for the six weeks. Well, our first class was last night. E and I chose the class called Row Strength. Now if you think any rowing is involved in this class, well, you'd be wrong. It was more like a crossfit workout. And when we were done I could barely lift my arms. Next class is Thursday where, hopefully, actual rowing will be involved.
